Serena’s new skill…a new era I guess.  I went into her room today to find her laughing at me and looking at her pajamas on the floor.  For a while she has been helping get dressed and undressed, but never fully taking anything off herself.  I’m guessing for her this won’t be a one time thing, but hey I will save money not having to buy anymore pajamas, hehe.

Other than that she hasn’t changed a lot in the past little while.  She still loves her babys and we can’t go anywhere without one.  She seems to be okay with any of them for now, but I’m sure that will change as she gets older.  I have been trying to take two with me so when she wants one I can give it to her and when she gets upset I can give her the other.  Right now she is running around putting a baby in her stroller then taking it out and putting it in her shopping cart. She still doesn’t have a lot of words.  Daddy, Gizzy, Baby(s) those are her favorite.  Yesterday when I was cleaning her room I called her and she said “what” and I figured it was a mistake so when I called her again she looked in her room at me and said “WHAT?” She uses other words too, but really only when she feels like it.  I guess we have to stop giving in when she just grunts for something even if we know what it is. 

Well I’m off to have breakfast and then clean up the living room.  I have to make the space between everything big enough for the stroller or cart, since thats Serena’s new favorite thing to do.

I guess we liked to spend money.  I know every time I do our taxes I’m left sitting there wondering where the money went and what we have to show for it.  Then I go to Target and get just some basic food stuff and spend $50 and I remember that the everyday stuff cost a lot more than it used to.  Its totally crazy when its over $50 to fill your car up, and sometimes that won’t do it.  Eh.  I paid the second half of my crown today ($312) and got it finished.  I made an appointment to get a cleaning, but I may change it, its soon and I don’t know that I want to go back into that office that soon.  I think I have a filling or two I need replaced or done too, so eh.  I also took Gizmo to the vet.  On Sunday Jackie and I noticed that a couple of this back teeth were loose.  I called the vet on post only to find out they are closed on the last day of the month, and every friday or something like that and only open from 9 to 3 anyway.  So they are kinda out of the question.  I’m sure they are busy anyway.  So I looked around and found a place that had a free first visit coupon.  It saved me like $80 which is really nice.  They were super nice and everyone talked to Gizmo, which made him shake even more than he was.  The vet said that they would need to put him under, do a cleaning and see what else needs to be done.  They worked me up a bill and its about $600 give or take.  Some of that I could take off but if he needs say three or four teeth pulled then it could go up.  Its also based on the amount of work that each tooth takes too.  They put him under, do the cleaning then call and tell me what they need to do and how much its going to cost and I can say what to do or not do.  I would almost just say do what you have to do, but then I will walk out of there wil a crazy bill I’m sure.  I have to talk to my parents vet and see what they would charge to do it too.  I’m not saying its best to go with the cheapest but I don’t want to way over pay either.  Eh.  Well Scott is under the weather, I think its a sinus type thing.  I’m not feeling that hot myself and I’m typing too fast for the computer right now and it seems to be wanting to skip letters on me.

Serena slept in some today, getting me up just in time to go over and get the car inspected.  The guy I had talked to before wasn’t there but the girl was really nice.  It took them two hours to get my car inspected and put a new light bulb in.  It was done for free though, and that’s a real plus.  The inspection ran out right before we got the title in the mail.  The guy told me that he could push it a couple days but no more.  So I was scared when he wasn’t there that I was going to have to pay the $68 again.  Anyway I can’t fully register it there until Monday.  So maybe tomorrow I will take all the paperwork with me and try to swing by the DMV at 4:30.  Another trade secret.  NEVER go to the DMV during the day.  Call and find out what time they lock the doors.  For us its 4:30, so get there between 4:15 and 4:20 and you are golden.  The close at 5 so you know they are going to get you out of there asap.  It has worked a couple times in the past for me.  I’m a little worried about the taxes though.  If you register in the first 60 days you don’t have to pay the taxes, well you pay a reduced amount.  If you wait then you have to pay the full amount.  I would have gotten in under the wire if it wasn’t for the fact that it took forever for us to get the title.  Knowing what I know now we would have paid off the car so it would come faster.  Anyway after that Serena and I came home.  Scott was pissed off, a little worried but mostly mad.  I didn’t take my cell with me so he didn’t know where we were.  Well mainly the car.  He needed to get across base and was already late.  Anyway we all left and went over to the organization day.  There were a lot of people there.  We stayed for about an hour, had some food and walked around a bit.  Serena is still too young to enjoy any of the things they have for kids.  She just wanted to tear around and have us run after her.  After that we took the computer over to a place to get worked on.  Its got a virus or something.  Plus we had a “friend” do some work on it and I’m pretty sure he had no idea what he was doing.  So I hope they can fix it for the price they quoted me.  When I first turned on the laptop I had some issues with it too, so I was worried I would have NO COMPUTER for a while, but its all good now.  Oh well I better get upstairs and help get Serena to bed.

 So this is the newest toy at Grammy and Granddaddy’s house.  Serena will go down it a few times before she gets tired and wants to do something else.  I wish it had a higher weight limit on it, cuz it would be fun!

Today did not start off as a good day.  Serena got up really early and was super cranky.  She didn’t want anything or anyone and I was almost to the point of putting her back in bed at 7:30.  A little after that I started getting a headache.  I didn’t think a whole lot of it until about 30 minutes later when I was having a hard time doing anything.  I guess it was a migraine, which I’ve never really had before.  Light hurt, noise hurt, touch hurt, moving hurt, moving my eyes hurt…uh.  Anyway I took some pain meds but really just wanted to try to lay down and sleep it off.  I called Scott at work to see if he could take an early lunch, but he said he would just try to get off early.  So after a while I just laid down on the mat on the floor and closed my eyes.  Serena would come over from time to time and give me something random.  She stood on something and opened the tool box to get nails once.  After a couple hours my headache did go away and I was able to get up and give Serena lunch and put her down for a nap.  I wasn’t really able to sleep after that though.  Scott tried to go get a new ID card but they don’t let you in after 1 on Fridays.  They have a lot of places around here that say they are open until like 4 but stop seeing people by 2.  It gets really old when you call and they say they are open until 5 and you show up at 4 and they are closed.  Anyway after a while we got dressed and headed out.  To be honest I thought we were going somewhere and Scott thought we were just taking Serena to the park down the street.  We ended up going to the Mall.  We got there at like 4:30 and didn’t leave until 7:30.  We walked around, went into a bunch of stores, had dinner and walked around some more.  We got Serena a cute little red chair for outside.  Its really toddler sized not child sized.  We have been looking for a small one for a while now.  We also got a bunch of stuff at the Disney Store.  They were doing 50% off all the clearance stuff.  I got matching shirts for the girls mom watches and Serena.  I also got Serena like five other shirts for this fall/winter.  They were all great deals, nothing over $3!  They are all really cute too.  I also got her a princess wall sticker that is huge, it looks like a castle window with three princesses in it.  Its not sticking great to our walls, but I love it anyway.  We did an overhaul on Serena’s room when we got home, took the vacuum upstairs and everything.  The carpet get super soft when you vacuum it.  Okay I’ve gone off on a random blog here, forgive me.  I will try to take some pictures of her room since its more or less finished.  Just one more thing to hang up, I just always forget until its 9:30 and then I don’t want to bang on the wall we share with our neighbors, who I have only seen once and never talked to.  He is in the Navy, that’s all I know.  Well, we had a great time at the mall.  I think getting out was what Serena needed.  Well I guess I should get back to doing something productive.  Scott is folding clothes, and I need to get something done before the Tylenol PMs kick in.

We decided to go with the first set of furniture.  I know Scott really liked the Second set, mainly because of the recliner.  I was expecting a phone call from that place letting me know if they could beat the first places price on the same set, but didn’t get anything.  It gets delivered on the 17th, between 6:15 and 10 which totally sucks.  The lady I talked to was rude when I asked to change it.  Its a terrible time, but whatever.  I’m sure I will get that in somewhere when talking to someone about it later.  Anyway I’m still happy with it.  Usually if I have buyers remorse on something big I have it almost right away.  We did go with their 0 payments no interest for a year deal.  We could have gotten a lot of more stuff for the money they offered us, but that would have been silly, and not as easy to pay off in under a year.  I will take pictures when we get it all put in.  If there is room and Scott is still set on one of the recliners then maybe we will go get one, it would look okay in the bedroom too. 

I have a couple phone calls I have been putting off.  One is a collection company calling from Germay.  They say I didn’t pay my t-mobil bill.  I know Jackie paid it for me after I left and the bills stopped coming, so I assume they are just trying to get more money out of me.  They aren’t going to get it though.  Unless it has some way of coming here and messing with my credit.  Then again I’m not up for paying what they want.  The second is to a doctor that I saw that billed to my SSN instead of Scotts.  She was rude to me too and it took a while for me to get through to her what was done wrong.  I hope that just fixes itself when they get a statement back from tricare saying its not paid. Lets see…oh the inspection on my car runs out on the 15th.  So if I get the title to it today and drive down to my parents to get it, take it in tomorrow then I won’t have to pay another $85 to have it inspected again.  I hope I get it today if not I’m calling the company and asking if they can do it on Monday and not charge me another fee.  He said they could, but who knows.  So I’m off to e-mail some company about my phone bill.  Lets see if I can get this over with.
