Book List October 8, 2007
I love to read. I haven’t always though. It was sometime in middle school that I learned to love books. I’m into historical fiction right now, but I will read just about anything really. Here is a list along with what I think about the book and author.
Most Recient:
The Sleeping Beauty Proposal by Sarah Strohmeyer - I started and finished this book in about eight hours. It was very cute, kept me interested, didn’t give away all the secrets. Kept me coming back for more.
Lost and Found by Carolyn Parkhurst - Cute book, not sure if I would read it again though. It was a quick read, started and finished it over vacation. Kept me interested throughout. Written from the viewpoint of different characters so you get a lot of interesting information. Some interesting topics, adoption, childhood illness, teen pregnancy, communication, homosexulality. . . I would reccomend it to someone else, and I plan to read something else by her.
I LOVE Philippa Gregory. I have a lot of her books and have read a few of them more than once. She is a wonderful author. Here is a list of what I have.
The Boleyn Inheritance
The Constant Princess
The Virgin’s Lover
The Queen’s Fool
The Other Boleyn Girl
A Respectable Trade (I need to read this one)
Earthly Joys
Virgin Earth
Tracy Chevalier is also one of my favorite authors. I have read all of her books. Here is a list.
Burning Bright
The Lady and the Unicorn
Falling Angels
Girl with a Pearl Earring
The Virgin Blue
Hi Tracy,
I am also a SAHM who also is begining to homeschool two rowdy boys ages 5 and 3. My oldest has life threatening food allergies, hence the decision to homeschool.
I, too, like to read. I just finished Jane Eyre, by Charlotte Bronte. I really enjoyed it! If you like historical fiction, you may as well. I will have to check out some of the books you listed.
Feel free to check out some of my blogs. I currently have three.
http://www.morethanjustamom.wordpress.com -I don’t keep this one up as much as I wish I could. But, I will make it a point to from now on.
http://www.learningatourhouse.wordpress.com -This is our homeschool blog. I write the most on this one. Since you have a small child, you might find it amusing.
http://www.onemomand food allergies.wordpress.com -This blog is where I write about our journey concerning food allergies.
