motherhood May 1, 2008
Over at 5 Minutes for Mom they are having a contest where Your Picture is Worth a Thousand Dollars! I posted a very short blog about it before. Go on over there and take a look around. It took me a while to pick a picture, and I know I could look for hours longer. I picked this picture because it is motherhood to me. It was one of those times when Serena did something new for her and for me. She is growing up so fast yet there are so many new things for her to experience. Its wonderful to watch her do something new, or something I have never seen her do before. If you look up motherhood in the dictionary, here is what you will find.
moth-er-hood
noun
- the state of being a mother; maternity.
- the qualities or spirit of a mother.
- mothers collectively
This is just an example of what motherhood is for me. Its something that you really can’t explain to anyone else because its so personal.

That is adorable!
so sweet
That’s cute. Does she like to play with her dolls a lot? I saw that photo contest but I just haven’t gotten around to it, and probably won’t. :-p
I also think we need to amend the definition of motherhood. Right now I’m thinking we need to add “the ability to carry 10 bags of groceries up 3 flights of stairs while carrying a screaming 30lb child.” Sorry, I’m always cranky after commissary runs. I’m actually procrastinating getting the non-perishable bags and I write this, he he.
AWWW so sweet!
